Q

What does the term "Cultural Management" mean when it is about lawns?

A

Cultural Management is a lawn care term that describes the everyday things we do to look after our lawns.

It can mean things such as correct watering, regular mowing, fertilising and pruning trees to increase sunlight and things we do to increase lawn health and prevent weeds, pests and diseases from entering our lawns.

Cultural Management can also refer to the same everyday activities we do to decrease the severity of lawn disease and pests too.

Things such as weed spraying, replacing turf and similar activities are not regarded as Cultural Management.
